Today i appeared for GMATPrep-1 Got total score of 620(Q:48,V:27).I am totally frustated. Don't know what do do.Actual GMAT is on 25th. My target score is at least 700 ? Is it possible to improve 80 points with in this span.

I have used following materials

ALL 6 manhattan books
Power score critical reasoning Bible
Kaplan 2009 premier program
OG 11 and OG12 and verbal supplement.

I have been studing for last 5 months.I tried hard. Its very frustating to have a score 620 after 5 months of time.

My previous MGMAT scores as as below

MGMAT -1 - 620 (Q:40,V:32)

MGMAT -2 - 640(Q:42,V:33)

MGMAT-3 - 600(Q:44:V:33)--- It was really scocking.

MGMAT- 4- 650(Q:Q45:V 33)

Please help... what should i do ?. I know no magical weapon will work. But i wanted to do my best before the actual test..Please help

I think, you are missing Kaplan 800. go thro this once....and what I'l suggest you to give GMAT Prep once again and check where you lagging. Also, I find MGMAT scores are not real simulation of actual scores..so take a chil pil and start working on your weak areeas...and you'l surely get 700+

In my Plan I have mentioned GMAt 800. That is actually KAPLAN GMAT 800.Sorry for the confusion.I am planning to go only the verbal section of this.

When started studing, My only weekness is CR.But in GMAT prep, I found 97% of My CR is correct. I have made many SC problems wrong.Yesterday i went through MGMAT SC book modifiers and pronouns.

Definitely will appear for the GMATprep once again.

First of all, yes it is possible. Do not waste your time with Kaplan 800. If I were you, I would take the GMAT Prep exam literally as many times as possible. If you understand how to do every problem in the database your school will improve dramatically. Focus on going over OG for verbal. Even if you have already done the problems, do them again.

As planned, as per now done 3 Gmatclub tests and Gone through entire manhattan SC once again and gone through GMAt 800 senetnce correction section.

I didn't find GMAT 800 useful.

So i will just skip it and next three days i will just study OG 11 SC..

As planned in 5 days i completed 4 Gmat club tests.. Lacking behind two Gmat club tests :(.

Just skipped critical reasoning of GMAT 800. I didn't find useeful

Completed Manhattan SC book in greater detail. More emhasizing on Modifiers and pronouns which i often ignore.

Gone through 88- 150 problems of OG 11

Today i appeared MGAMT-5 (Q:45,V:34).

Still laging behind in verbal. In the coming weekends, I will be concentrating on reading comprenshion a bit and SC from OG 11 and 12 as planned..

Mean time, I just found a site intersting Grockit.com.. Really liked the site..

that's true. GMat club tests are just brilliant. If you want to score higher in Qaunt, Gmat Club tests are the one.

Probability too difficult

by subhasis8877 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 1:46 am
Probability and combination in Quant seems to be too difficult for me.

Guys, How many questions come from probability and combination in actual GMAT ?

Should i worry for it ?
