It looks as though the problem is missing a word. "the area about 4 miles of Midway Island" seems to need a compass point - e.g. 4 miles "west" of Midway. That is particularly likely since the answer includes a compass point.

This question asks what conclusion could be properly drawn. It is not looking for a conclusion that is already in the stimulus. That makes it an inference question and the task is, in fact, to extrapolate what MUST BE TRUE based on the stimulus.

We have no information about human encroachment on wolf territory. Therefore, although it may be true, it is not a valid inference. Given our lack of information, it is equally possible that humans have backed off and created more territory for the wolves.

Get your lowest common denominator = 3*4*43
then (7*4)/(3*4*43) = (5*3)/(3*4*43) = 28/(3*4*43) + 15/(3*4*43) = 43/(*3*4*43) = 1/12

I think the problem is reading the question. My understanding is that the original equation is:
(b^a)+1 - b(a^b) and I think you are reading it as b^(a+1) - b(a^b). Typing algebra can be prolbematic.
