Just to add this problem doesn't require solving or math.

Stat 1:- X^2 + Y^2 =100

Also XY/2 = 25
So solving for X, Y from two equations its sufficient.

Stat 2:- As X, Y are equal
so X^2 + X^2 = 100, so 2X^2 = 100, X^2 = 50, which is sufficient enough as well.

Lets assume two sides as X and Y, and from question hypotenuse is 10. From 1:- Area = XY/2 = 25 or, XY = 50 As per Pyth theorem ; 100 = X^2 + Y^2 Perimeter P = X + Y + 10 so we have to calculate the value x+y. Square x+y --> (x+y)^2=x^2+2xy+y^2=(x^2+y^2)+2xy=100+2*50=200 --> x+y=\sqrt{200}. Thus P=x...

Set the equation: 0.1x+0.02y=0.05(x+y), where x+y=z --> 5x=3y -->

(1) y=10 --> 5x=3y=30 --> x=6. Sufficient.

(2) z=x+y=16 --> y=16-x --> 5x=3y=3(16-x) --> x=6. Sufficient.

Using scale method here, since 10% and 2% give weighted average of 5%, x:y = 3:5
We also know x + y = z.

1. y = 10.
If y = 10, x = 6 since their ratios must be 3:5. Sufficient.

2. z = 16
If sum of x and y is 16, x must be 6 and y must be 10 to give a ratio of 3:5.

Hello, Please ignore the previous solution and consider this one as we need to calculate the % decrease in sales. Initially $3m royalty from $20m sales, So $ 1m sales = $3/20 Next, $9m royalty from $108m sales, So $ 1m sales = $9/108 % Decrease = Change/Original * 100 % Decrease = (3/20 - 9/108)/ (...

Initially $3m royalty from $20m sales, So $ 1m royal = $20/3 = $ 6.66

Next, $9m royalty from $108m sales, So $ 1m royal = $108/9 = $ 12

% deccrease = (12 - 6.66)/ 12 * 100 = 44.5% so option C fits the best.

First equation becomes 280 = XT ( X is speed in km/hr & T is time)
Second becomes 7X/6 = 280/(T-.5)

Now solving these X & T from two equations becomes easy and gets X=80.

As 75=4*18+3 then the last digit of 7^{75} is the same as the last digit of 7^3, which is 3. Units digit of 7^{75} + 6 will be: 3 plus 6 = 9.

Just to add, if apples & pineapples sold are equal then it becomes A=P.
If apples sold are half of pineapples then it becomes. A=P/2

Hope you are ok with this now.

A = number of apples
P = number of pineapples

"vendor sells twice as many apples as pineapples" it means if 1 pineapple is sold, there are 2 apples sold to equify. So, A=2P hope you got it.
