Ans) 15

2^x - 2^x-2 = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

2^x - 2^x/2 ^2 = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

take 2 ^x as common factor

2^x(1-1/4) = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

2^x * 3/4 = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

3 * 2^x/4 = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

3 * 2^x/2^2 = = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

3 * 2^x-2 = 3 * (2 ^ 13)

x-2 = 13

x = 15

first car sold at = 125/100 * 20,000 = 25000 $

Second car sold at = 80/100 * 20,000 = 16000 $

Selling price of both the cars = 41000 $

Cost Price of both the cars = 40000 $

Since , selling price is less than cost price, its a loss

loss= 41000 - 40000 = 1000 $

Ans) n = 21

5 ^21 * 4 ^ 11 = 2 * 10 ^ n

5 ^ 21 * (2^2)^11 = 2 * 10 ^ n

5 ^ 21 * 2^22 = 2 * 10 ^ n

5 ^ 21 * 2^11 * 2 = 2 * 10 ^ n

5 ^ 21 * 2^11 can be written as 10 ^ 21

2 * 10 ^ 21 = 2 * 10 ^ n

=> n = 21

Since radius from center O = 1

diameter of the circle = 2

Base = AC = diamter = 2

Height = BC = 1

Area of Traingle = 1/2 * Base * Height
= 1/2 * 2 * 1 = 1
= 1

Question 1:

find lenghts of each sides of traingles.

QP = 5
PR = 5
QR = sqrt(50)

since (QR)^2 = (QP) ^ 2 + (PR) ^ 2
Its an right angle triangle

A = 1/2 * B * H = 1/2* QP * PR = 1/2* 5 * 5 = 25/2 = 12.5

Question 2:

If 2^(-2x) + 2^(-x)-6=0, x-1/x=?

2^(-2x) + 2^(-x)-6=0
2^(-2x) + 2^(-x) = 6

If x = -1

2^(-2 *-1)+ 2^(-(-1)) = 6

Therefore x = -1

x-1/x = -1 - 1/(-1) = -1+1 = 0

From the question:

E -- English
H -- History
M -- Maths

E = 2 * H

=> H = E/2

E = 3 * M

=> M = E/3

There for ratio of History to Math Majors is

H:M
= E/2:E/3 = 1/2:1/3 = 3:2
