Hey HPEngineer, Interesting story. Congrats on your admit. Welcome to BU! From what I know, most of my classmates have good GMAT scores. Hence, it must be especially gratifying. I just casually logged in to BTG after a while. To those asking for his essay, it is not going to help you much to see his...

It is not a great idea.
Everyone wants a better score and if you skip that section, the Adcom will Flag you as someone who is unwilling to take the test in its full form. You got a 6 once, no reason you cant do it again.

hi, My recommendation: Start by analyzing your test results. Go through each question (whether right or wrong) and see the actual answer and solution. That way you know what was wrong in your approach and what you need to learn / change etc. That is the first step. Once you identify weaknesses, then...

I've heard that it is best to stick to the given word limit.
( I guess it also shows the adcom your ability to present information in the manner they seek.)
But if you have to really exceed to present your views right, you can go up by a few. But again 5-10 words max. 13% looks too much to me.

No reason why you should not. I suggest you stop guessing so much. Prepare and do well. Leave the rest to GMAC and luck!

I'd put more than that. Of course, recommenders need to have a professional relationship to you. But the tool is asking you to specify the actual role.

Well cos adding does not mean factors carry over.
For eg. 1 + 25 (Factors 1 and 5) end up in 26 factors (2 and 13).
1 and 2 add up to 3 but 3 does not have any factors of 1 and 2
4 and 6 add up to 10 but 10 factors into 2 * 5. So there is no such concept.

Cant say that. You could have got repeated questions for every question. So cant say.
Recommend that you take a fresh test of GMATPrep or similar to get a taste of where you are headed.

Yes!
GMAT sends past scores only: specifically ALL scores from the past 5 years.
It does not resend scores just because you retook the test. If you retook and have a better score, you have to send again.
