Infact the reason u gave stands tru for C. Here, "Them" refers to fish, but fish is singular.

To handle such questions, best way in GMAT is plug in values.
Given x and y are positive, try pluging in values of x and y > 0

Also, pls use positive decimals also, as we have no idea if x and y are just integers.

Some points worth noticing:

1. In Time: Gives the meaning of "Early enough."
2. On Time: Gives the meaning of "Just at right time."
3. "The Number" is singular, while "a number" is considered plural.
4. Subject form of pronoun comes after "than".

I am talking about SIMPLE INETEREST.

To make it more clear,
Amount = P +Interest
= P + (P*R*T/100)
= P[ 1+ (R*T/100)] taking P common.

SIMPLE INTEREST
Basic Facts: The sum that a person lends is called Principle ( P ) and what he gets back is Amount.
Amount = P +Interest

1. Interest = p*Rate*Time / 100
2. Amount = P+ Interest = p[1+(R*T/100)]

Usage of So...That in GMAT is absolutely correct, PROVIDED, it is used in "Cause....Effect" relation.

That is: So..CAUSE....That....EFFECT.

So...that is correct idiom.

Thus GMAT can test on usage of So...that in two scenerios:
1. Cause-effect relation
2. Idiom

Hey guys, I came across following table in one of the books I purcahsed Subject Object Possessive I Me My You You Your He Him His She Her Her It it its We Us our They them their Who Whom Whose Note: Possessive pronoun can replace only possessive nouns. Same stands true for Subject and Object Pronouns.
