Hey guys, The 1st class has just finished. It was very informative. Aaron is a very good teacher and a really charismatic/nice guy. I won't go into details coz you really ought to check it out for yourselves, but at the end of the session there is a large Q&A "kind of thingy" (for the ...

answer is 30%. 7 eggs have to be divided in 5 portions in which couch guy will have 2 portions for not sleeping with her or atleast not found sleeping with her. so kathy will get 7/5. 2-7/5 = 3/5. 2x= 100*3/5. x=30% i m so jealous of those guys. Don't be, you don't know what Kathy looks like...

2 eggs = 100% 5 portions we have 7 eggs Kathy's original recipe calls for two eggs which equal 100%. She would get only 7/10 portion so she would have 70% of her portion. So her portion is 30% less, hence Kathy is probably a cheap drunk and an easy hit + the guy on the couch is overweight + from the...

I feel happy that I still have a chance, disappointed that they didn't think I was good enough to accept immediately and frustrated because now I have to do all the things people do to move from waitlist to accepted. Had I just been dinged directly at least I would have known where I stood. I'm in ...

Thanks Ron, I see what you mean and you are right.
I should definitely put more focus on venn diagrams, I thought I won't need them since I knew "the formula", I am glad i was proven wrong on time.

I guess the formula vittalgmat is talking about is: Total = A + B + C + NONE - AB - BC - AC - 2ABC It's basically the same thing as venn diagram i guess but imo it's faster to understand/solve questions (i am used to it if i were used to venn diagram's i guess they would be faster, no?). Take a look...

A quick look at answer choices gave me a hint since D=S*T and T=D/S Try out choice D. We have D given as 440 so T= 440/40 = 11 If S increased by 4 so T should decrease by 1. Let's try to 40+4 T= 440/44 = 10 T decreased by 1, hence 40 is the correct choice That's a really nice approach rolrol, thanks.

why we chould not take into count those students who are NOT involved in any class? Because in the question you are asked " How many of the CS103 students are not enrolled in M101?" To answer this question you need only CS103 size and how many students are in both CS103 and M101 classes. ...

There was a great explanation in one of manhattan's books about this question. Here it goes: t=tens digit u=units digit 10t+u=bill 2t=amount of the tip The stem question goes like this: 2t > 0.15(10t+u) 2t > 1.5t + 0.15u which is 10t/3>u if you manage to rephrase the question to here you won't have ...
