I am sailing on the same boat, with a poor verbal score. Since then i had started focussing on the SC part as i thought that is one thing which we need to make it rock solid to gain a good verbal score. Hey CAPNX, There seems to be some confusion with this idiom. Manhaatan GMAT SC says So X as to Y is correct, but if you check Q 33 of OG 11, it mentions the construction so x as to y as an incorrect idiom. In this case where do we go now. Dana, You are right we should not divide by a .But if we take the 2 scenarios a=0 a!=0 then stmt 1 tells that: a+b>0 then if a is zero then x is -b/0 which is not possible, so lets take a with +ve or -ve number then we would get different values for ax. If ax + b = 0 is x > 0.
1) a + b > 0
2) a –b > 0
My rephrase is is -b/a> 0 or is b/a -ve.

Hi Stacey, I am spending an average of 8 to 10 mins for RC pasagges . For CR questions i have noticed that i tend to get some of them wrong if i try to answer the question within 2mins.
