eskimoroll, congrats on the HUGE acceptances! You are a rockstar! :) Thanks! The funny thing is that I'm the opposite of what you would typically consider a rockstar MBA applicant. I'm older (29 now; 30 at matriculation), I do not have an Ivy undergrad (large state school), my work experience is no...

Interview with BTG member accepted to HBS, Booth, and Kellogg I am preparing some interview questions to send to BeatTheGMAT member eskimoroll (Alex). Alex was recently accepted to HBS, Booth, and Kellogg in the first round. Congratulations, Alex! That is very impressive and I am EXTREMELY jealous!...

mind if i ask what your final decision could possibly be? That too is intriguing to me... Well Harvard is by far the strongest brand with the largest network, Kellogg is tops in brand management (what I hope to go into), and Booth is amazing at data driven marketing plus they offered me a very gene...

Thanks guys! It definitely will be a tough decision. I guess I'll just go to the various admit weekends and hope that helps me make up my mind!

I just got the call. I've been accepted to Booth with a nice scholarship. I'm thrilled as Booth was one of the top schools on my list. :)

So can you even concentrate for the rest of the day? I think i would be on their school store website ordering a bunch of HBS sweatshirts and hats and stuff. I'm intrigued by what goes on immediately POST acceptance. Hopefully I get to know what it feels like.... I can't buy gear until I make my fi...

My question to you now is... what do you do post HBS acceptance? lol.. like if you're at work.. do you then just say "Hey Guys... I'm taking the rest of the day off" and go to the bar and celebrate? Actually, I'm working from home today since I caught a cold after shoveling six feet of sn...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I was actually going to message you because I "heard" from a little birdie that you were accepted! Thanks Richard! I'm very lucky and fortunate to get good news early in this process. It's been a grueling year getting these apps ready and I'm happy to see that it was g...

I just received my acceptance call today! I was extremely relieved and grateful for the opportunity to attend Kellogg. I'm definitely looking forward to the admit weekend to get to know my potential future classmates. I'm going to hear back from a few more schools next week but I'm so happy to know ...

I think it went well. Extremely conversational, very friendly. I think that was due to the interviewer, not my answers, though. I could tell, at the least, it did not go terribly, which is a good sign haha. I highly suggest going to the luncheon before or after your interview (depending on when it ...

Congrats! I'm all done too (HBS, Stanford, Booth, Kellogg, Sloan) with everything in for round 1. GMAT prep took more hours of actual work (studying) in my opinion but the essays took more total hours from just thinking, stressing, revising, etc. Actually I find this time now to be just as painful....

All done my applications! I just needed to let someone know! HBS, Wharton, Yale, Kellogg, BU. In that order. Essays were 100 times more draining than the GMAT, in my opinion. For those of you who are at the start or middle of your application process, just know that it feels really great when you h...

I've been working on essays for several schools now. Like most people, I am having trouble keeping the length within the ramifications of each school. There is no word count for these schools, rather a page count: 2 pages, double spaced. The question I have is font size: I can get away with strong ...
