1- More than 1/2 of the 10 employees are women
2- the probability that both representatives will be men is less than 1/10.

fraction comparison question
if a,b,c, and d are positive integers, is (a/b) *(c/d) > c/b?
1- c>b
2- a>d
A-if 1 alone is sufficient
B-if 2 alone is sufficient
C- etc...

Productivity Rate question
3 printing presses R, S and T work together at constant rates and can do a job in 4 hours.
If S and T work alone, they finish the same job in 5 hours.

Dana, I agree with your procedure except that I think L = 1/2S
this means that the total = S+M+L+X = 1/3M + M+ 2*L (since L=X)
so The total = 5/3M
The question asks about the percentage of M from the total, so it's M/T = 3/5 or 60%

I agree Dana. sqrt of x is always positive. But x^2 =4 means that x is either 2 or -2.
