Hi Keith, I think you'll have to use your best judgement on which jobs to include. Most resumes start after college, and you may want to use a non-chronological resume style since your resume will not follow that pattern. Think about what work experience is relevant to your application and include t...

Hi Alex, I think your self assessment is on target. Clearly I haven't seen your essays so cannot comment on them, but your GMAT score is good and I actually think your GPA is probably fine if you were able to improve over time. Your work experience is not long, but if you have been able to show care...

Hi specialk1975, I would say no to both questions. There is no need to mention references in your MBA resume, your letters of recommendation are your references in this case. I also would not list a website on your resume, especially because there is a place for your company's website on the applica...

Hi beingAndNothing, It never hurts to take the GMAT again if you think you can increase your score. It is only one part of a holistic application process and I am actually more concerned about the other qualities that you need to communicate. It looks like your academics are quite solid overall. I w...

Hi Samy, We have seen that Robert H. Smith is showing up more and more in the rankings, and certainly seems to be poised to grow its reputation and reach. There are clearly no guarantees when it comes to rankings, since many factors go into the rankings process, and overall brand takes years to buil...

Hi Rahul, GMAT is definitely only one piece of the admissions process, which is holistic. That being said, a score below 500 will likely raise some questions about academic potential within a program. Was the verbal section where the difficulty was? US schools are a bit more expensive than Canadian ...

Hi paleelasateesh,
Most MBA programs are familiar with the Indian grading system and will accept percentages. Those that ask for a converted GPA will provide you a method to make the conversion.
Good luck!

Hi donnknow, There is no difference in what the admissions committee is seeking in candidates during Round 3. There is no round in which specific work experience is the goal, the process continues to be holistic. The main difference of Round 3 that it's late in the process and there have been many s...

Hi paleelasateesh, An MBA can be the great equalizer, and generally most MBA graduates are qualified to work in the types of jobs that recruit at MBA programs. I would look at the career services website of your target school to see what companies typically recruit there, some of the functions that ...

Hi anvismom,
I would visit the sticky thread on GPA and GMAT. Generally you would prefer to be at the mean or above for your target school to feel most comfortable, though GMAT is only one component of the application.
Good luck!

Hi Gmat_user, There is definitely a trend towards accepting applicants without work experience into MBA programs. HBS, Wharton and Columbia all allow applicants directly from undergraduate. I would investigate each school's policy, as it seems that the schools allowing undergraduates to apply are in...

Hi SH, You sound like a stellar candidate, the one issue you are going to face is being a bit typical. Many applicants have business undergrad degrees and have worked in consulting. Your job in the application process will be demonstrating how you are different from the other high achieving consulta...

Hi Saffa, I am not familiar with MBA programs in Africa. There is definitely increasing interest in non-US MBA programs among applicants, so perhaps Africa will become a focus at some point. Right now we see applicants starting to become interested in Asian focused MBAs, and of course there are well...

Hi Benny,
I'm not sure what your question is?
MBA programs have students with a range of backgrounds, so I do not think your background in the police is an issue at all.
Good luck!
