My honest opinion is that you should think about taking the exam again. You definitely have an OUTSTANDING score, but it will serve you to get the quant a bit closer to the 80th percentile for the top programs.

You can't just 'cancel' the square and the root. You have to treat the operations separately and handle them in order.
When you have x^2 = 16, there are 2 possible answers 4 and -4

All you really need to know if that exponents will always add a 'curve' to the plot and absolute value will always create an 'angle'.

Agree with Brent. Stay away from random question banks. You need to get accustomed to the style of GMAT questions. It is better for you to rework questions you have done than scour the ends of the Internet for bad GMAT questions.

Also, recognize that you will never get contradictory information from the statements. If x = 27 from the 'bad wording', it cannot be prime in statement 2.

You have an introductory clause ending with the comma. These always introduce a noun, which is why you use 'like' in this scenario.

With percents, you will often need to know the base to understand change. If you use Gross income as 100 and test scenarios where deductions are 1 and 99, you will get 2 different changes in net income.
This makes the answer E.
Also, Statement 2 should be the deductions increased by 15 percent.
