Hi,

Best way of doing this would be take numbers as n, n+1, n+2

so we have n+1+n+2 = n^2
n^2-2n-3 = 0
n^2-3n+n-3=0
n(n-3)+1(n-3)=0
(n+1)(n-3) = 0
n = -1 or 3

-1, 0 , 1
3, 4, 5

So answer is either 0 or 12
we have only 12 given in options

Cheers,
SVD

We can easily solve by taking common We have (x-y)2 = 10, x2-y2=2 Equation is (5x+5y)/(6x-6y), Taking 5 and 6 common in numerator and denominator we have 5/6 * (x+y)/(x-y) , Now multiply both numerator and denominator using x-y 5/6 * (x+y)(x-y)/(x-y)(x-y) = 5/6 * x2-y2/(x-y)2 = 5/6 * 2/10 = 1/6 Lot ...

Try This way of thinking Try to calculate the rate i.e 1 worker per 1 day 7 Workers in 7 Days builds 7 cars 1 Worker in 7 days builds 7/7 = 1 car 1 Worker in 1 day builds 1/7 car (rate) Which means Workers * Days * rate (Rate per day per worker) = number of cars (7 * 7 * 1/7 = 7) So for 5 workers fo...

Please adivse regarding my gap before job

Hi All,

I am planning to take GMAT, I have 4 years of experience in software industry (been to onsite 2 times also), but I have around 18 months gap after my BTECH and job.

How crucial that will become when B schools are evaluating? Please kindly advise.
