Agreed. I know that some people will draw a time chart on their test boards and keep track of their timing as they go through the test. If a question is going to take you 4 minutes to solve and you can't eliminate the answers and have no clue how to approach it; it can be better to just skip the que...

Based on your last few diagnostic scores, it looks like you were about to peak. Are you planning to retake the test, or are you happy with the 710? Great job, by the way.

Congrats, we got the same score - even the verbal/quant breakdown was the same. What's even more interesting is that I also have a marketing background.

Good luck with apps.

This comic has a nice punchline -- very relevant to the GMAT sentence correction too. HA HA!

Great job! After you apply, please return to the forum and share your story. I think a lot of the posters here are in the same position as you: scored in the high 600s or low 700s and looking for advice on how to compensate with a strong application.

Please clarify your question. Are you telling us that you just received an 800 on an diagnostic CAT and want to know how indicative this will be of your actual GMAT score? If so, this information will be helpful: 1. Did you do the AWAs? 2. Did you complete the test in a single sitting with the appro...

I think that's the right decision. I think it's important to be consistent on your GMATPrep test scores. If there are too many fluctuations, it indicates there's still some material you need to internalize. Just remember to use this time wisely. Develop a rhythm or pattern of studying.

Good luck!

If your school only requires a 490 and you ended up with a 550, I'd say that's pretty good. If you achieved a 700 and you applied to a school that only required a 490, that might send up some red flags to the adcom.

I agree with Osirus. Don't take it again if you can't spend at least a few months refreshing the content. By that time, you'll be applying later in the process. Just make sure your recommendations, GPA, and personal essays make up for any deficiencies you perceive in your score. Honestly 700 is not ...

If you're aiming for 700+, I would seriously consider postponing. I think a month of intense studying to bone up your Verbal and solidify your Quant will be helpful. It looks like your Quant scores haven't been very consistent. Have you broken down your test results by problem type and category yet?...

Agree with The Duke. The difficulty curve increases at a steeper rate on the MGMAT tests than on the actual GMAT (in my opinion). I consistently scored lower on the MGMAT tests quant than on GMATPrep. I ended up with a good score on the actual GMAT. So I think you'll be fine. In the MGMAT CATs, if y...
