@enigmaparanormal, i would suggest doing some practice tests to strengthen your strategy for gmat. I haven't come across any book for verbal in the 700-800 range but i have read that kaplan has some tough verbal questions. @abhinav, i did not have access to kaplan books but have heard that it's verb...

Hi Abhinav, i am not sure if I can comment on 5 months of study for 700+ because i don't have much idea about your background. There are cases where people have improved their scores within a month also. I would suggest not to take a date till you have started reaching 700+ score consistently. Do re...

thanks again for the good wishes. @redr8er, i used to take 3-4 days to review a test though the ideal time is 1 week. i had made verbal checklist which I used to update whenever i found something new and delete if i found the point to be etched permanently in my memory. @nskandan, as in my case drea...

@arpshriv, i found the advanced quant book from manhattan to be good because it had challenging questions. Did you analyze why your score is stuck at 44-45? is it because of timing, silly mistakes or lack of conceptual knowledge? The book has some interesting guessing strategies too. @massi2884, tim...

700 is not average for sure. Given your profile I am sure you this score should suffice.

Hi Snehasish, thank you for the good wishes. To answer your questions: 1. Did your experience with master gmat course helped you get such a high score alone OR was it something else? It was not definitely mastergmat alone but it was a major factor in improving my quant. All of the material mentioned...

@prodizy, yes it was majorly timing. Timing gave me courage to guess and move on.

Taking the courses also helped by providing a change from time to time. When i was tired i simply watched the videos especially in the night.

From 610 to 760(q49,v44,5.5) - still can't believe it!

Never in my wildest dreams did i ever see myself writing this post. Having scored a meager 610 in my first GMAT attempt, all i wanted was a score of 700+ given my age of 34 years. But i guess it was the hard work i had put in and definitely luck in terms of the experimental questions made me reach t...

Hi Prachi\Mandar,

i am myself from mumbai and my hunt for a good tuition did not result in much success. I would recommend mastergmat, knewton and manhattangmat. All of them are completely online and more up-to-date than mumbai-based institutes

good luck
