As mentioned earlier, I didn't really prepare for Verbal. I did about 50 questions of the Verbal section in OG '11. Obviously, if I had prepared more, I could have brought my score up significantly.

how did you prepare for Quant? I used OG '11 and the MGMAT guides for VICs & Word Translations. I only came to know about the MGMAT guides 12 days before my actual test! So I had to rush through them. The MGMAT CATs are probably the best practice as they are quite tough and prepare you well for...

Good luck with your applications! Schools look at many factors, not only the GMAT score. It looks like you have that score that most of the top schools would consider, so good luck!
Thank you! Yes, that is what I believe as well.

Congrats!! Can you tell us the relative diffculty levels of each section. The difficulty in Quant was not too bad. MGMAT Quant is definitely more time-consuming; not more difficult as others have stated. Of course, this is my experience so it varies from person to person. The Verbal was on par with...

Congrats! Think you did really well given your time constraint. Did you find the verbal at par with manhattan/gmat prep? B Thanks for the compliment! The verbal was on par with the GMAT Prep more so than with MGMAT, at least that is what I felt during the test. The passages were actually interestin...

Just Beat the GMAT: 660 (Q47/V34) | AWA 6.0 -:)

So, just got back from taking the GMAT! Scored a 660 (Q47/V34) | AWA 6.0 . (just got the AWA score today--08/30/10) Self-studied for 6 weeks and used OG '11 and MGMAT CATs. Didn't really study for Verbal; went with gut-feeling. I guess that was NOT a good idea. Took the first GMAT Prep CAT blind and...

Sorry to hear your GMAT experience didn't go well!

Did you not finish the Verbal section? V17 is really low.

You have to take the test again. Your Quant score is very good so if you get at least V35, you will get close to 700+ and that will be good enough for many of the top 20 B-schools.

Is an MBA from a non "Top 10" School not worth it?

Hello, I am in the process of applying to various MBA programs. I have talked to several people over the past few months (professionals, professors etc.) and the gist of what I got was that going to a non-Top 10 school (Harvard/Stanford/Wharton) for an MBA is a waste of time/money/energy. Can someon...

Sorry to hear you didn't reach your target score.

Your Quant score is obviously great! (Q50).

Did you receive any combinatorics/probability questions? Any with DS?

FOUR (4) Days Left!! Take another (final) practice test?

Guys, My test day for the GMAT is coming up in FOUR days! I have taken 8 CATs so far (4 MGMATs and 2 GMAT Preps twice). I still have 2 MGMAT CATs that I could take but honestly, I feel somewhat burned out. I'm still planning to take at least one in a couple of days but what do you guys recommend? Fr...

AWA Evaluation Request!

Hello, I have taken 4 CATs so far and I've done all of them in test settings (completed all sections with no breaks). I just winged my essays and I haven't really found any "guide" for writing the essays. My GMAT is coming up in 10 days and I want to just make sure I cover all the points a...

MGMAT CAT Question Help! EXPERT Advice Needed!

Hello, I got this question on my last MGMAT CAT that I took: For any integer k > 1, the term “length of an integer refers to the number of positive prime factors, not necessarily distinct, whose product is equal to k. For example, if k = 24, the length of k is equal to 4, since 24 = 2 × 2 × 2...
