Take the GMATprep test from GMAC. They talking about it during (at the end) of your practice test. It seems pretty straight forward.

Taking a quant course to supplement GMAT
Hi All, My GMAT quant is just not there. Admittedly, this is not my strong point despite solid grads in undergraduate course work. Would taking a "Continuing Education Course" at the school help? At the very least, show that I am committed? Example course: "Quantitative Reasoning and ...

Big congrats again, utdrub. And thanks for the interview debrief.
It is always better to make a tough decision between many good options than to have only poor options, or none at all.
Keep us posted!
Cheers!

Are you taking any days off? My practice test scores went down 80 point after intense study. Took 2-3 days off and the score came back. Gotta let the brain absorb new material

Just like you, I struggle with quant. I have the GMAT Math Bible (www.gmathacks.com). Does a great job of rebuilding the basics of everything from Algebra to Geo to Probability. You can download the PDF if your are crunched for time. Won't help much with the 800 level questions, but that is what oth...

Thanks for this thread. I feel that I do not get a whole lot out of the 700, 730, 760 score posts. I have taken two practice tests (1-520, 2- 440) and am sitting the test in a few weeks. I agree with several posters that the basics are an issue for us. However, if you have the time I would advise no...

Ttronn/ Kaneisha, Thanks for the advice. It appears that I will not make my target score on the GMAT this round anyway, so problem solved. On the new job topic - Not sure if you have looked for work in the last 2 years, but it is very difficult. Unemployment in Denver is over 9% and I feel fortunate...

Went down 80 pts! Help!
Very frustrated right now. After 1 week of perp I took the free Kaplan test, scored a 520 (29Q/33V). I thought ok, we have some work to do. I have not been studying verbal at all, but 1-2 hours a day of GMAT specific math. I just took the free Knewton test with this result: 440(21Q/27V)!!!!!! Any 80...

I am going to give this a go tonight. I was going to borrow a Windows based laptop for practice days, but am now going to be out of the country for work.
Objections to PM'ing you if I run into trouble?
If this works, I owe you a beer.

520 -> 620 in 1 month??
Hi Everyone, Took my first practice test yesterday courtesy of Kaplan. While it was NOT computer adaptive, I knew it would give me a good baseline of my weaknesses. The scoring breakdown: Q-29/V33 -- 520 Quant was dismal overall but I knew that going into it. DS causing the most damage. Had 11 minut...

Need help with school selections (Long! Sorry!)
Hi All- First off, I am not attempting to get into a top program. While I envy all of you and deep down wish I could attend a top 15, I don't think it is in the cards. Vitals: GPA - 3.16 Undergrad: Business Admin -Mktg/Econ from a relatively unknown state school. Great program but very small. GMAT -...

@ Sallywoo - Yes, you should. But do not put a lot of time into it or stress about it. I am not shooting for a 700 either and have been told that any perm/comb on there will be pretty straight forward, if I see any at all. It is good to know how to do the problems. But again, the bulk of what you'll...
