From Peace Corps to Wall Street

What schools can land me an IB summer internship considering my only experience is in non-profit? Does it have to be a H/S/W? M7? T15? Assume that I earned a 3.6 from a top10 undergrad with strong ties to wall street (in addition to my own), 750 GMAT, and good leadership experience. (p.s. I am not s...

How much time should I dedicate to b-school essays?

I've estimated that now until the round 2 deadline, I can dedicate about 100 hours total for two schools (darden and fuqua), so 50 hours per school. I have done little to no preparation though I have a pretty good idea of what I want to write. Does that seem reasonable? Could someone tell me from th...

T14 MBA's

I'd like to work for a top management consulting firm (e.g. McKinsey, Bain, BCG). With only a non-profit background, can a T14 MBA (such as Fuqua or Darden) get me there?

Thanks. I do mean the four that come on CD, they were MUCH harder than the CAT they send you when you register, and the real thing was much closer to the the latter than the Kaplan. I think general consensus is that Kaplan CAT's are much harder than the real thing, and I absolutely agree. Again, add...

thanks Amy.

Would your recommend that I go ahead and apply the first cycle or try to get an internship during the year (at the expense of a lot of sleep and perhaps sanity), get a recommendation hopefully, and apply later?

so I assume you've just graduated (or about to graduate)? I'm not sure so much about b-school, but I know for SAIS or Fletcher, you need several years work experience.

Hello all, Sorry, finally found some time to update. Again, I only had about three weeks to cram for this. My hard resources were limited to the Kaplan GMAT and the Kaplan 800. I skimmed through the first but spent some time reviewing the second. Also, DEFINIITELY review the various notes for the se...

750 thanks to the website

I spent about two weeks preparing for it, and most of my practice involved using the resources from this site (the only other significant one was the Kaplan 800).

I love this site.

really confused...please help

So on Spidey's notes, it says: "Sometiems, a quantiifier refers to one thing, not many things. For example, "each", "every", and "one" always refer to one thing...if hte quantifier is always singular, then the verb must always be singular too. So accordingly, a cor...

Feedback needed: Am I fooling myself?

Hey all, First post here. So I'm taking the GMAT's one week from tomorrow (just started studying), and a bit nervous. I took my first practice exam on cd (the one GMAT sends you when you register) and got a 750. They didn't give me the breakdown, but I got about 12 wrong on the math, and 6 wrong on ...
