One book for all Q and V content
Are there any books that cover all of the content of Quantitative and Verbal parts of GMAT? It does not have to be detailed or intense. And it does not have to contain practice questions. I just need to study content from them. Something like summary, pointing out the important parts of each section...

You want equal quantities of each sample, so try and choose a number that is easy to divide into each ratio. Best way to do this is to add each ratio. 2+1 =3 ; 3+2=5; 5+3=8 Now find the LCM of 3,5 and 8 => 120 Take 120 as the quantity of each sample. Sample A which is 2:1 has 80ml milk and 40ml wat...

Since it says equal quantities from all of them. Lets suppose we take 120 litres from each.
1st: 80liters milk + 40 liters water
2nd: 72liters milk + 48liters water
3rd: 75liters milk + 45liters water.
Total: 227liters milk + 133liters water.
227/133 is the answer.

Hi nathanal, That the Kaplan test shows you is that a single test isn't a reliable measure of anything in prep terms, which is why our Premier books come with 5 and our classroom course with 9. Take a look at your overall performance across all of the tests you've done, and see whether on average S...

You're correct that the answer is A, however, the Angle x is not 90 degrees, but rather it is 70 degrees. Z and Y have the the same angle degree because they are alternate exterior angle. Thus the Z and X are supplementary angles and add up to 180 degrees. Hope that helps! That is for option 1. We ...

Because of that the lines are parallel, x+z and x+y are equal to 180 (straight line is 180 degrees). So if x=z or x=y, insert them into the equations and you get 2x=180 and x=90.raunakrajan wrote:how would it be 90 could you pls explain!

Guys, if you know what modular arithmetic is, this is the easiest and fastest way to solve these kind of questions. 17^1 = 1 (mod 16) So any power of 17 = 1 (mod 16) This could be implied to any kind of remainder questions. The other approaches written here are okay, but this is far best. Another ex...

Hi Rich, if x^2 is greater than 1. The inequality x^2 > 1 can be broken down into the following: x > -1 or x > 1 , did not understand how you got x < -1 or x > 1 ? Though the above doesn't make a difference to the answer, was thinking how you got these... Thank You... Regards, Narendra. Suppose, x^...

You are welcome. If it said x=z or x=y, then you could solve it and the answer would be 90.The Jock wrote:Hey nathanalgren,

I'm glad that website has helped you Nathan! Did you try English page as well? It has a lot of stuff and should keep you occupied for a while. The Canadian web site was quite helpful, I can't thank you enough for it. However, I didn't quite like English page one, probably because its design is very...

Because you don't even need option two to know y=z. If they are parallel, y=z.And the option 2 does not give you anything you don't already know. Therefore you cannot solve this question.
