I'm in - now what??
Thanks to BTGMAT and a (quite) a few hours behind OG, Kaplan etc I scored a 680, which was enough to get me into my school of choice. The GMAT is done, the essays and app are done, the interviews went well and I've been informed that I'm in. BUT NOW WHAT? I feel like a dog that's caught the car... I...

Both on their own is NOT SUFF as we don't have enough info: Together: Say Length = l, width = w and height = h we're lloking for l x w x h = volume but from (1): l x w = 15 and w x h = 24 from (2) l x h = 40 so now we have 3 unknowns with 3 equations, so you'll be able to work it out. So IMO C.

DS GMAT Prep Absolute values
I've searched the forums, but due to the ABS or | | notation I could not find it.
Is ABS(x - y) > ABS(x) - ABS(y)?
(1) y < x
(2) xy < 0
OA is B
For (2) I use substitution
x y
-6 3
-1 1
1 -1
6 -3
And for all these combination it worked. Is there is shorter way?

refer this http://www.beatthegmat.com/angles-gprep-t14992.html I don't understand your explanation. With S = 90, "Therefore the remaining two angles can be 60, 30." Why would the other two angles be 30 and 60 and not any combination of numbers where the sum wil be 90 (ie. 45, 45 or 5, 85)?

Can't the answer be A?
1) if n = 2 (i.e. 22+23=45)
if n > 2 , but still even the answer will ALWAYS be even and never be 45 (odd)
So n can only be 2. SUFF
Any comments??

Arun, I'm from South Africa and would like to know the same thing. Firstly, I believe that the qualification can never be taken away from you , so MBA is still a good option. The problem I forsee is that you, as a graduate, will be competing with MBA's with experience that lost their jobs in this re...

NO, it states that not both can be even, so both can be odd, or P even and K odd, or P odd and K even.vivek.kapoor83 wrote:but saffa its written here that P has to be odd, it cant be even

Re: Answer
Answer is E for the first question. How can we be so sure about overlapping(students) in this case... The answer would have been C otherwise. To be honest, I don't like that question, as they do not mention that the clubs are independent. Maybe if they stated that is WAS independent, the answer wou...

E x E = E
E x O = E
Thus 2 x (K+P) = E --> 2 is even and it doesn't matter what K+R is.
Even minus 1 is always odd.
D) If K is odd and P is even then,
K + 1 = E
Even - even(P) = even
