I agree with Eric. With serious studying with the MGMAT guides should be sufficient. If you that doesn't help you can sit in free trial sessions.

You'll definitely benefit from MGMAT. Take it one step at a time. Focus on learning the content so for the initial time do PS only. Certainly do the In action problems as they are designed to increase your learning the basics. Also make sure when you do the OG problems do them in blocks and definite...

Top 10 Lessons Learnt So far after Dismal First Attempt
After being p***d for a couple weeks I'm back at it and fired up to beat the gmat. I thought I'd share my lessons learnt so far. I'm writing this post to help others who started out with low scores. I fell into the trap earlier in my prep... made major strides from 400's to 500's and low 600's befor...

It depends what your current score in Quant is? If your already scoring in the 40+ range then the guides may not be as useful. My case was different. Out of school for sometime and rusty in many areas so I was looking for something comphrehensive. What is your weakness in Quant? If you're weak in DS...

MGMAT Virtual versus Veritas Classroom
After a frustrating day after being rocked on the actual exam (470, 36 Quant & 20 Verbal) I've decided to take a course. I was consistently scoring 580+ on MGMAT CAT, Powerprep and GMAT Prep. The only difference was that I didn't do the essays in any of the practice tests. The other problem was ...

Snuman, I gave me test today and went through the same situation. I was consistently getting 570-600 over the past two weeks only to get rocked today with a dismal 470 score (36 Quant and 20 Verbal). I just got back and am still in shock. My verbal shocked me the most. I'm too ticked and the moment ...

The MGMAT tests people are referring to are the full length CAT's offered online only. I believe one is free and for additional must be purchased (total 6 CAT's). I've have found these CAT's to be more difficult especially in Quant. But the major benefit over all the others PR, Kaplan etc is that th...

A minor clarification from Stuart's post. I just called Pearson to clarify something. Yes you do get a new set of scratchpad only when you request it. In other words if I have started AWA and want to reuse it if I want to in Quant. During the tutorial PR (and others I believe) recommends dividing up...

Mayonnai5e,
Thanks for the advice. The lower hit rate rates indicates something wrong with fundamentals in those areas. I also purchased Kaplan q bank so now I can select questions based on topic and difficulty level.

Hi II, My approach was topic by topic as outlined in MGMAT guides. One of things I realized early on that I had been out of school for quite some time and my fundamentals were rusty. For example in the MGMAT SC guide e.g. Pronouns , the end of the chapter lists the questions in OG and Verbal where t...

I agree PR is great to begin with. It depends on your target score. Kaplan, PR etc. are designed for the average and that is get you around 600. But I'll be honest it didn't help me. I got the most so far out of MGMAT guides not only in SC but in Quant as well. The break it down allowing you to take...

I believe from all the posts I've read this is a myth. However, one thing for sure I was burned recently getting several questions wrong consecutively can hurt you. I took the GMAT Prep recently and got 5 questions wrong consecutively (4 RC and 1 SC) and never recovered. The conclusion I reached fro...
