(10^8 - 10^2) / (10^7 - 10^4) = (10^2)(10^6 - 1) / (10^4)(10^3 - 1) = (10^6) / (10^2)(10^3) [Ignore subtracting 1 from numerator and denominator] = 10 The correct answer should be (B). Really nice, the move to drop the 1 is a real time-saver!
