I heard the average test score is higher if you take on Friday between 10-2pm PST.

Seriously guys, how can so many of you who have college degrees be so..."fill in the blank."

i must admit tricky question-voted for A first and feel like this entry is ambitious. would like to hear GMAT verbal experts on this I am not an expert, but I'll give it a shot. In order for A to be correct, it should be written as: A. the chef and an owner of the Landmarc restaurants in Manhattan,...

Annoying math equation making me want to strangle FB friends

I am sure some of you have already come across this freaking equation:

6÷2(1+2)= ?

The way I see it, this equation is the same as 6 / 2x, x = 1 + 2.

So the answer is 1...

Is there even a right or wrong answer to this equation?

New website load time

I believe the sidebars are the culprit, but the load time on my iPhone has gone down significantly. The website would be stuck for about 10 seconds before its usable.

D is out of scope. D is suggesting that max speed can be controlled by the driver, and that is not the case because we know the subject of the stimulus is about traffic congestion.

C is a bait and out of scope. No where in the stimulus does it suggest that traffic congestion is between small town to businesses or suburb to businesses, and that itself is a sure sign that C is out of scope.

E appears to be the only one within scope.

I would do a self-analysis of each topic in GMAT and post it on this forum. Probably in the format of which topic do you think you need work on, and what have you done so far on the topic. Hopefully it's not much of a struggle for you to do it, else it might be a longer road to identify a better att...

I really liked your point about undertstanding the structure of a sentence and how it is constructed . I think understanding the structure and construction is more crucial than attacking the problems based on the differences between/among the answer choices. Glad I can help. I always thought that s...

But when whole question is underlined and is lengthy then this strategy may have its limitations. Actually, if you understand that each sentence is composed of several smaller elements, then you can attack these elements with David's approach no matter how long the sentence is. A sentence can be ex...

That's exactly it. More questions for practice. The order is not really relevant, but the earlier questions are easier than later ones.

First of all, try to see GMAT as more than just a chore, or something you have to do. Personally I loved snowboarding, and I was a workaholic and was attending school full-time, but I still managed to find time to fly down the slope almost once a week. If you approach GMAT as something you want to d...
