I find your post motivational. I especially like how you evolved into a GMAT whiz based on a well-developed plan. You started with a 440 and turned your score into a 710. Amazing! I took a PR class & was told that a gain similar to that of yours is not likely. It's nice to see that it can be do...

Re: 1000 SC question# 60
Hi What is the difference between "discriminate from" and "discriminates between". Here is the question: After a few weeks’ experience, apprentice jewelers can usually begin to discriminate, though not with absolute certainty, genuine diamonds from imitation diamonds. (A) genuin...

My advice would be to just relax. There's nothing magical you can do in 5 days, but with a peaceful mind, you could probably do some magic in those 5 hours at the test center. Solve a few questions every now and then to ensue you're not rusty, but taper off till your last day. On the day before, try...

In simpler terms, if (x-y)^2 = 0, that means (x-y)(x-y)=0 Simple logic- if ZERO is the product of two numbers, one or both of those numbers HAS to be ZERO. For eg. (1)(0)=0, (0)(534)=0 or (0)(0)=0 In this case, since you're squaring (x-y), and the answer is 0, that means x-y HAS TO BE 0. Other than ...

I personally used Glucose Biscuits, 2 bars of chocolate and water. Also, use your breaks effectively. Time your peeing. (Sounds so wrong, but it's hard to avoid) I think glucose biscuits are the best... energy, easily digestible, light.. etc etc. For my Indian friends, I'm talking about good ol' Par...

I provided my suggestion based on my own (limited) experience with the GMAT. I've only studied for the test for 2 months and I've only ever taken the actual test once. The books I used were OG11, OGVerbal, OGQuant and PR 07. I have admittedly not used OG10. I'd fully endorse Ian's view, as it seems ...

12:01 AM - Indian Standard Time, September 11th, 2001. Mumbai, India. 5 people are standing around a dinner table singing Happy Birthday. A man, somewhere in his late 50s, smiles while standing over a chocolate cake. The cake reads "Happy Birthday Dad!" He's surrounded by his wife, his son...

Hi skimo, I suggest you waste no time in going out and getting yourself OG11. As far as I know, there is little or no overlap between the two. The questions ARE in level of difficulty (from easiest to hardest) so that should help you out. Also, the OGs basically use retired GMAT questions. OG11 woul...
