That's an incredible GPA! Take the GMAT again! Study, you will do better. Break a 700 and you can go wherever you want. With that GPA I'm sure you can do it. Good luck.... I'm no "expert" but I bet you would be a close call to those schools with the 640/Marist.... If you up your GMAT you w...

I think in an ideal world the "expert" advice would be correct. But as those of us that have been filling out applications realize there is no place to "explain" anything. The schools that ask where else you're applying generally only give room for a list. You can't say, "I'...

Well - I was rejected from from Chicago R1 this year - no interview. 720 gmat, 3.07 gpa undergrad from a top school and 3.59 in a low ranked law school. I spent a lot of time on my essays and apps. If that helps.

As much as you might not want to hear this - the average GMAT of applicants at Harvard is over 700. Therefore, as much as we would all like to believe that there are a bunch of people who are unqualified but are applying it seems unlikely...

I have wondered this same question myself several times. My best guess is that Cornell and Yale's rankings have suffered because they are not in major cities. I think most people (myself included) would rather go to school in a city rather than in a small New England town. My guess would be that the...

I'm going to apply R1. I think I'm a long shot.... I've been working on the essays - they aren't that bad once you dig in. Pretty similar to other schools which is nice.

Thanks GMATMadeEasy. I don't think I'm a "natural" at reading. I think that it came from 3 years of reading law books for 5 hours a day. But thanks. Critical Reasoning: Largely the same as RC. I read the paragraph first and hopefully I can guess what the answer is without even reading the ...

Yes, they do. Unfortunately, because of this CAT testing format sometimes the same breakdowns can vary by 10 points. You will also see that sometimes you can get more questions wrong but actually get a higher score because the questions you got right were more difficult than the ones you got wrong.

First, a quick update. I got my official score and everything above is correct. I also got my AWA - 6.0. The only practice I did for these was to do each of them once under real conditions. I have taken many tests on computers before and I felt confident that I could do these. Additionally, not to s...
