Criticise others all you want, the fact remains that the answer is 13 and you've got it wrong again.

When you have n things to choose from ... you have n choices each time!

So when choosing r of them, the permutations are:

n × n × ... (r times) = n^r

(Because there are n possibilities for the first choice, THEN there are n possibilites for the second choice, and so on.)

3^15

What is the source of this question?

To me, the answers given only work if C is adjacent to D. This isn't specified in the question.

*edit* actually I just read the second half of Sanju's post - ignore my comment

I think both are sufficient the first one is obvious the second one: If angle BAC = 90 then AC^2 + AB^2 = BC^2 The only way to change the ratio, without changing the lengths, is to modify the angle BAC... If you increase the angle above 90, then AC^2 + AB^2 < BC^2 If you decrease the angle below 90,...

actually I revisit my original answer:

My original answer of 4/52 * 4/51 * 4/50

I ths probability of getting a 9 - 10 - jack in that specific order.

there are 3! combinations of orders of getting those cards, so my final answer is
6 * (4/52 * 4/51 * 4/50)
If there are 4 Jacks, 4 tens, 4 nines in every pack of cards (Would this kind of prior knowledge be assumed on the GMAST?)

anyway, IMO answer =
(4/52) * (4/51) * (4/50)
This question is poorly constructed so I'm struggling to give you a proper answer. As has already been said, you have 119 x 5 letter combinations (discounting AFTER) You have 5C4 * 4! 4 letter combinations (120) You have 5C3 * 3! 3 letter combinations (60) You have 5C2 * 2! 2 letter combinations (20...
