If we have to use 'by' we need to lose the comma here and comma is not underlined for correction. E - best option as all the other paramet...

The total number of x co-ordinates possible are from x=3 to x=11 ==> total 9 values of x The total number of y co-ordinates possible are from y=-5 to y=5 ==> total 11 values of y Now we need only 2 x co-ordinates for x and 2 from y to complete a rectangle (because the sides are parallel to x and y ...

The answer should be C Could you pls explain the same. TIA, GK The only possible quadrants for (a,b) would be 1st and 3rd as the sign of the both a and b would be same. hence (-a,b) and (-b,a) would be in the same quadrant which would again either be 2nd or 3rd. For example, 1,2 or -1,-2 . now for ...

answer is A

there has to be have and not has as we are comparing plural subject ( cyclone systems and not cyclone).

also we cant say compare to as it is only used to compare different types of parameters. Compare with is for same type of parameters.

1. If x=9 p=3 n=2 3^2=9, 9 has 3 factors: 3, 9, 1 But p and n could be other values. n could be 3, in which case x would have 4 factors. p=3 n=3 x=27 factors 27, 1, 9, 3 1 is not sufficient. It leads to multiple values for x. 2. n has to be 2, because only 2^2 = 2+2 = 4. Any other n won't fulfill t...

statement 1 says : x is a positive multiple of y => implying that both x and y are positive. Now multiples of y can be y, 2y, 3y , 4y and so on. Now replacing these multiples in place of x. Save for the first option multiple = y, all others satisfy x-1 >= y . So we have 2 answers based on the value ...

here an additional info should have been that p is not equal to n.

If that is written then there are 4 factors including 1 and the number itself.

If not and p = n = 2 then there are 3 factors ( 2, x and 1)

Statement C may not be completely correct.[/img]

take ray and darcy as 1 unit = RD Gina = G and Susan = S Now if Gina comes first and second, then only she can get a soft chair. Now P(G) coming first and last = 1/3, hence P(G) coming second is also = 1/3 ( Note: Ray and Darcy are one unit and arrive together - so effectively 3 sequences are possib...

For this take an example based solution. if ABCD = AB x ABC it makes more sense to take AB = 10 as the value of D would be decided as 0 then. now for ABC take 101 or 102. It will give u the number 1010 or 1020 as ABCD. Now AB = 10 and CD = 10 or 20 and both AB and CD divide the original number ABCD....

Another method can be using an example: Lets say n = 6a + 4 = 5b+ 3 Solving the a and b equations we case see that : 6a + 4 = 5b+3 => 6a + 1 = 5b now for LHS to be a multiple of 5 the only options for 6a are those multiples ending with 4 and not 9 (no multiple of 6 will ever end with 9). For the num...
