algebraic approach?

If a chef creates x pastries per hour, then how many minutes will it take to make 50 pastries? a. x/50 b. 50/x c. 60x/50 d. 50x/60 e. 50*60/x This seems so simple to me but yet I still got it wrong. Can someone please show the algebraic approach? Thanks. This question is from the Peterson's Prep Test

is it.....???

7C5 = 7!/(5!*2!) = 21

therefore...

21*4! = 504

I would be helpful if someone could confirm this. thanks.

Circular Permutation

When N and K are equal we use the formal (N-1)!, however what do you do when N and K do not equal?

e.g.

How many ways can 7 people sit at a circular table with only 5 seats?

I am still very much confused about the Proportion vs. Percent.

Proportion of minorities among families
vs.
Percent of minority working families

I don't see the correlation here!

CR - The proportion of minorities....

Can someone help me understand (algebraically) why D is the answer here? I know the approach is to treat this as a "weaken" question but I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly is being said in the stimulus.

This is from the Vertitas Prep CR2 booklet.

St 1 says 10 ^ d is a factor of f: from this we can find d=5 Remember with data sufficiency that both statements should be treated as factual information and will NEVER contradict each other. You determined from the first statement that d=5 but this directly contradicts the second statement d>6 . T...

It is from the Veritas Prep Data Sufficiency workbook. Over a hundred problems.

How do you quickly determine:

s2) 52x+58y=492
only one set of value satisfy this condition
i.e x=5 and y=4
This is where I struggled.
