Thanks. After exam when i looked at it i could figure it out. During exam the complicated figure puzzled me a little and it took more than 2 minutes. so i had move on.

Gmat Prep 720 and Mgmat 610. one week left for exam
I will be giving my exam in a weeks time. This is the second time i am giving Gmat got a 680 earlier. GMAT Prep- gave a exam last sunday 07/27 and scored 720(Q48, V41) MGMAT - today after a week 08/03 and got a shocking 610(Q44,V29). Help With Verbal. 2 weeks left for exam

Arithmetic GmatPrep Test
Symbol denotes one of the four arithmetic operations
I have attached the question
1. 3 * 2 or 3 + 2 is greater than 5
2. 3 * 1 or 3/1 is 3
So i thought the operation is multiplication and answer is C
But answer is A Please explain.

I have attached the complete problem.
I agree with statement 1 and 3. But how statement 2? The answer is E.

I want to test this and i took a long time for my first 10 ques both in verbal and quant.
