Hey Manu, This issue isn't so much grammatical as style. However: 1) Any usage of the noun form of being, such as "human being" is always okay. 2) The gerund form at the beginning of sentences is almost certainly okay, though I haven't seen it: "Being in love isn't always like the poe...

Hey Guys, Looks like this has pretty much been parsed, but just to finish it off: In his work, George Santayana is more reminiscent of Plato's poetic narratives and Henry David Thoreau's obsessive detailing than Bertrand Russell's scientific precision a. In his work, George Santayana is more reminis...

Hey Maxmanish, You are not alone. The question you are asking has been asked dozens of times here on the forums. So, as a beginning to the hard work you have in front of you, I would encourage you to search through the forum for answers to this question. It'll get you acquainted with the various ide...

Nah, B's no good either. I mean, what are the ramifications of bankruptcy, really? The conclusion doesn't argue that it's a financially responsible thing to do, only that most people would do it if offered it.

Weird one. I say again.

Hey Aditya, Looks like your question got answered. I would argue this isn't a very well-written question, as neither of those answer choices do enough. You're right that the "some" in answer choice (A) is problematic, and (C) is bad for the reasons you/David cite. Definitely a weird one! -t

Mo is absolutely right. And just to be clear, answer choice (E) doesn't tell us much we don't already know: "The manager reasons that, since the wait times at the entrance will be reduced from about thirty minutes to ten minutes..." So we already know that we have enough attendants to cut ...

This question is gibberish. Answer choice (E) conflicts with the actual argument: "Sales of iphones have increased dramatically over the last year." (E) ...sales of Apple phones have fallen in the past year." Maybe this question is trying to act as if there could be both Apple phones ...

It's definitely a good score; the only question is whether it's on track for the schools you want to apply to. I don't know enough about their averages, etc to say. GMAT benchmarks are well documented, but the GRE benchmarks are more mysterious...

Hey Jjack, A 1350 GRE score wouldn't be competitive at Top level B-Schools). I don't know the profile of every single on on your list. The average GMAT there is about a 700, and you're averaging more like a 660. Beyond that, the quant section on the GRE is quite easy, so they'll expect that score to...

Hey Kanha, Unfortunately, most people on here don't underline, so you have to work it out for yourself (using answer choice A). However, in case anyone's reading, please do underlined if you can. The option is just above the text box; select the part you want to underline and click it. Unfortunately...

Hey Mo, The book is decidedly NOT made up of 10th edition questions. Many of the questions are original to that book. Plus, no one is using the 10th edition anymore, and some of the questions might even be considered obsolete, so even if it were true that the V-guide is made up of those, it would at...

Hey Duong, Great first example, paragraph. I think your second is slightly weaker, on two levels: First of all, centralizing would cut costs almost by definition, so it's weird to act like that isn't assured. More importantly, I don't quite see how it's possible that centralizing would allow access ...

Hey AbhiJ, I can't speak exactly to the issue of being from an Asian country, but it doesn't sound like it applies in this case. And even if it did, I've never heard of a school making a big deal about a 720 versus a 740, or something like that. At that score level, it comes down to things like work...
