I am preparing to retake now....so GMAT really is a make or break scenario for me ( and other like me) who have not created new companies or done something great otherwise... Than...

is x>y?
is x > y? 1) sqrt(x) > y 2) cube(x) > y Here is what i think:- 1) sqrt(x) > y Case 1: 0<x<1 Let x = 0.36 and y = 0.50 sqrt(0.36) > 0.50 => 0.6 > 0.5 But x=0.36 and y = 0.50 --- And 0.36 > 0.50 is false Case 2: Let x = 16 and y=3 => and sqrt(16) > 3 -- which is true So Case 1 is "False" and...

Subtracting in-equalities
Is x-y > r-s?
(1) x > r and y < s?
(2) y = 2, s = 3, r = 5, and x = 6
OA is (D)
My question is:
Subtracting 2 inequalities is WRONG.
Then how is OA (D)
That is:
(1) x > r and y < s?
should not mean
x-y > r-s
Any ideas?
Thanks
