Akuma, I agree with the Number properties, they need to be ingrained. I am far from that after a week in. What other guides within MGMAT were helpful for your quant prep? I saw that you answered my tutoring question as well and I am on the same page. I need to give myself more time within the guides...

Hard time with Data sufficiency
I'm having a very difficult time wrapping my mind around data sufficiency problems. I just started with the MGMAT Number Props this past week. Although I understand and can maneuver through value problems, I'm logically having a terrible time with the way the data sufficiency works. (yes/no vs. valu...

I sure dont mind practicing as I'm sure thats almost always 97% of the solution. I've noticed that my mind is sometimes more focused on selecting what principle to use from my studies, rather than just logically selecting the best answer choice. i.e. using the negation technique in assumption type C...

Greatest weakness: GENERALIZING
I am starting to see a trend in how I attack verbal problems. For some reason, whether it's a lack of time, concentration, or a means of cutting a corner, I have been caught generalizing the authors thoughts. As I've gone through both RC and CR study guides (MGMAT & CR Bible respectively) I have...

Critical Reasoning Strategy...
A month ago I purchased ALL of the MGMAT guides from a local book store. They've been great so far supplemented with OC. I also saw a few recommendations for PowerScore CR Bible and bought that as well. Do you recommend CR Bible or MGMAT CR guide and why? I don't feel I have enough time to go throug...

Manhattan (MGMAT) SC Guide Advanced chapters worth it?
I've finished the final chapter of odds and ends (Chapter 10) on MGMAT SC Guide and know I need to go back through the book again at least a half dozen more times. Are the final 3 chapters (Part 2: Advanced) worth their weight in gold or... are they something I could get away with just skimming thro...

I haven't hit the chapter of Voice in MGMAT SC yet, but by concision alone, E looks to be the best option. A: "in addition to how" awkward/wordy B: "in the determination" (maybe; 2nd choice) C: "and when they did" fragmented/awkward D: "and how they were" frag...

Comprehension has always been a "red flag" for me simply because I lose focus or interest in the material subject. If the subject were half-way interesting, which I'm sure they are probably not, then I would not find an inkling of worry. However, that not being the case, anything that migh...

- The ManhattanGMAT books really are very good at the content, especially the quant and the SC one, I dont see much value in RC and CR though - The series sorely misses an overall strategy book, that is much better covered by Kaplan and PrincetonReview (who's cheater's guide approach is valuable, b...
