Given that I would be among the 10% of the applicants to Bschools, is it wise to avoid the competition of round 1 and go instead for round 2 (where I can differentiate myself)?

y = -2x

1) x<0
gives y>2*mod(x) and y < -2k

2) k = 3
y = -2k = -6
y= -2x (where -2x would be > -6)

in either case we do not know x
even upon considering 1)and 2) together, we do not know x
