First off, that is a terrible recommendation - to recommend all those editions of OG. I believe 75% of the 13th edition's problems are identical to the 12th edition. There was an article about this. Second, do not take advice from a guy who scored a 380. Third, Kaplan and Princeton Review are not g...

Just remember this and you should be fine for the GMAT
Measurements involving money (e.g., dollars, pounds), time (e.g., five years, the fifties), weight (e.g., pounds, kilograms), or volume (e.g., gallons, kilograms) are always singular and take singular verbs.
Hope that helps

My gut didn't like A, hence I chose E. In retrospect E has two issues
1- It doesn't fit - that after semi-colon
2- Meaning is slightly changed as well

Don't want to rub on your wounds, but I get the impression that those 2 extra minutes (when you overshot your break) totally threw you off your game, and from that point on, you were playing catch-up. Just sharing your experience here you have shown some courage, and for now as Brent mentioned, you ...

Aristotle vs MGMAT SC
This just popped-up in my head, but I will share it with you anyways. In my humble opinion Aristotle SC grail is better than MGMAT SC guide, because its more crisp and to the point, on the other hand MGMAT SC is the ultimate guide (if you appreciate content depth). Additionally, all SC prep should f...

Sorry to hear about your GMAT experience, but remember he who falls and stands will live to fight another day. Brent's videos (GPN) are among the hidden gems of the GMAT prep world. I am a very satisfied customer and a nervous test taker (correction : I used to be one). When I took the test the firs...

My quick answer would be No (you don't need go through). The e-gmat course doesn't require you to read any of the books you mentioned. On the other hand, you need to be familiar with basics such as parts of speech, subjects, predicates and the like. If you struggle with these concepts MGMAT Verbal f...

Awesome article Bara, I totally agree you that test anxiety is real and measurable. The GMAT is not only an information management challenge, but also a stress management challenge as well. Speaking from personal experience I have postponed (rescheduled) my test date at least three times citing lack...

I am among those who chose E, partly because I thought that the question is oversimplifying Noam Chomsky's theory (one of those gross generalization answer choices we often see in RC), since this theory was mentioned, hence one can imply that indeed E is incorrect albeit at a tertiary level. So E is...
