Good show dude. You have a different profile (entrepreneurship+Non Engineer Indian). Best of luck with the results.

Based on posts on the forum, generally accepted score would be over 700.

White Paint= 3X2/8= 3/4 gallons= 0.75 gallons
Black Paint= 5X2/8= 5/4 gallons= 1.25 gallons

So the least amount of paint that can be bought is 1 gallon for white paint and 1+0.5 gallon for black paint.

Total= 2.5 gallons.

B Wins.

@arora007,

I agree with your reasoning. The question "must" mention that " the numbers are replaceable" in order to avoid confusion. But your reasoning is correct.

The question is quite poor. Would suggest that you stay off poorly constructed questions such as these.

Enjoy !!!

too twisted for my taste. I think I will just click and move on, if I see something of this sort.

Took me more than 5 mins just trying to figure out what to do. No point wasting time on such a problem on the exam. Unless ofcourse we get the very same problem...lol.. then just remember the answer !!!

C wins.

Just remember that apart from (0,5),(0,-5),(5,0) and (-5,0) you will also see variants of 3 and 4, because 3,4,5 form the pythagoran triplet.

Just plot the points on a figure and it is easy to figure out.

Let leo's weight be "l" and his brother's weight be "b".

l+10=1.5b
l+b=340

2 equations and 2 unknowns. Solve and you get l=200.
