What exactly is required of a reference? It is not clear from the application process. I'd like to let them know what is expected in terms of time commitment, etc.

Thanks for the info and good luck with the MBA. The merit scholarship you were offered gives me a little bit of hope and I may have to consider applying to Duke next year

Congratulations on the admission. Could you elaborate a bit on the merit scholarship. Your profile looks very similar to that of thousands of applicants just curious as to what made you stand out? Thanks

Hi it's pretty good but very hard to say without a complete essay. I'd say 4 but by no means accurate as you need to complete fully before anything can be done.

I know that the GMATPrep doesn't score the written portion of the test. Not sure about ManhattanGMAT. The reason GMATprep doesn't is probably because the actual score on the written test is computed by averaging the computer response and a professional response.

As far as the number of lines go it depends on your ability to write well reasoned arguments quickly. I'd expect an essay that'd be at least rated 4.0 would be of this length. Introduction; always state your position (3-5 lines) I strongly believe in X [because of Y]. In the following paragraphs I i...

5.0 - 6.0 I'd say. Excellent. Some of the sentences are a bit lengthy: "Some decisions that for the common good of the entire community might require some group of people to make some sacrifice e.g. farmers might have to leave their family land and go to some other place in order to make space ...

I would give this a 2.0 There are some good points and examples but you haven't really elaborated on any of these points. This argument: "As television and radio are most popular way of communication for the activity around the world, so we must have some control over it. " has no backing ...

All Questions on the GMAT are equally important. This topic has been discussed and thoroughly analyzed. I'd urge you to not spend too much time on the first 10-15 questions. Instead of a strict 2 minutes per question try 10 minutes for a 5 question block. This will calm your nerves a bit in case you...

PG I agree with your points. This is not to slander Judith or anyone in that line of business. But Judith acted as an admissions committee member and an "independent" admissions consultant - can't you see the conflict of interest here. It astounds me that a smart woman such as Judith even ...

I just saw the course description and there is really nothing much more than you mentioned on the website. Having said that, I do think you should try and take this class. It provides you with good background before your MBA. You should also try to look at MIT's OCW tonnes of course information avai...
