Not the single clearest question I have ever seen, but choice C seems to be the better answer. I understand what you are saying, kschow, about it being hard for a child to lose an amulet or bracelet, however, at least it says that children OFTEN lose. And this seems to be less of an assumption (a c...

Even i Picked D but OA is C . Reason :- Nowhere it is mentioned in the argument that an increase in the number of injuries caused by people who have attempted home repairs themselves is due to the do-it-yourself instructions on the Internet . What has been mentioned is not all of the do-it-yourself...

IMO B.

The modifier 'Despite being more complicated than four-handed canasta' is more correctly placed in Option B and E. Tense error (continuous tense) rules out E.

My reasoning :

The clause - '... I have had a savings account for over twenty years' is a Non-Essential Modifier. Non-Essential Modifiers usually use a 'which'.
Also, 'a savings account WITH a bank' sounds idiomatically correct.

Other thoughts or opinions ?

Here is my thought : The answer choices with the option 'that' can be eliminated since they are grammatically incorrect. Option B has a tense error(Earlier Action -> Past Perfect and Later Action -> Simple Past) and Option C has possessive error. Option D has an error in meaning. It implies that the...

IMO - there are a couple of problems with E. ...'appear equal in size when they are seen on a branch or in a nest'... Lacks clarity. Option C provides some of it by saying '....when sitting on a branch ....'. Second, Option E does not clearly separate the second clause as does Option C. Given that t...

I think killerdrummer gave out one too many hints there ! IMO E. ManhattanGMAT says - In any list of action nouns, always choose the choose the complex gerund phrase (often with articles and the word Of ) over the simple gerund phrase. And to answer killerdrummer's question - No, you cannot compare ...
