For problem 3 I have a simpler solution Whenever the question asks for atleast 1,I always use the probability rule of Atleast 1 = 1 - none In our case 1 would be choosing 3 members from a group of 10 people without any restriction 10C3 = 120 Now choosing 3 such that none is a Senior partner is equi...

IMO - A If you see powers of 3 when divided by 10 yeild remainders in a pattern 3^1 - remainder 3 3^2 - remainder 9 3^3 - remainder 7 3^4 - remainder 1 3^5 - remainder 3 and the pattern repeats as 3,7,9,1,3,7,9,1 etc therefore 4n+1 powers yeild remainder 3 4n+2 powers yeild remainder 9 etc now from...

obviously, 1 Is not sufficient. Since both 8 and 16 are divisible by 4 but 8 is not a square of an integer whereas 16 is. From statement 2 we can deduce that K/2, K/3, K/5, K/7,..., If K = 14, 2 and 7 divide K, If K = 15, 3 and 5 divide k, if k = 21 3 and 7 divide k, If k is 30, 2, 3 and 5 divide K....
