I do not think that a recommendation from someone at MIT is going to help your chances at Wharton so I would say stick to two. Is there some reason you are worried about the two you have? If so, then possible include three (and also add the reasons why you included three in your optional essay - if ...

You can find all the GMAT ranges on the school's websites under class profiles but I would shoot for your best score possible :) Are you lower in the verbal or quant? There are techniques that will help you overcome a low GMAT score and with your unique and interesting background I believe you can d...

Re: What do you think? (profile evaluation)

A couple of things - 1. You come from a competitive IT background, so that's one barrier you're going to want to overcome 2. Sales will niche yourself a bit and help get you differentiate from other applicants from the IT background. I'd definitely add the information about your CFA, esp. if you did...

That is unfortunate about your GMAT score as that will limit where you can apply. Maybe you can combine the scores for an overall higher score and write about it in your optional essay. Why do you want to get an MBA? With only 1.5 years of experience you will have to tackle this question with concre...

Chances are 17.8% Jk, I think you have a solid profile and decent chances to get accepted into your top choice INSEAD. You have a couple of things to overcome - a lower-than-average GMAT score and your reasons for wanting an MBA are going to enter you into a large pool of applicants. For this reason...

Hi there, Every school has a different policy on additional recommendations (on top of the official recommendations). Some schools, such as Stanford, do not accept such emails, whereas other schools it's encourage. I would contact the Sloan admissions or check their website for your answer. Either w...

Re: Round 3 Question

I'm sorry to hear that you are getting laid off. There are a lot of options here but I think your best bet is to try the GMAT twice and shoot for the 2nd round initially. This is how I'd recommend playing it out - study really hard and take the GMAT asap. See how you do and if you do well enough, ge...

Hi,

Yes, you have a good chance at getting into the DePaul program given your credentials. You have to obviously have a strong application first. How is your application coming?

No problem. Make sure you thoroughly check their website as you don't want a reply to be, "see this link here...". Otherwise, I think it's a great question and it's always good to connect with adcom.

Are you only applying to 1 school? My recommendation is to break everything down into small steps and then project manage the entire process. This way you can get things done that take up a lot of time now - such as recommendations or little stuff (that add up) such as your transcript - and focus on...

Your chances are exactly 11.4% :) Just kidding. You have good credentials but you are coming from a very competitive pool of applicants so I believe your chances largely depend on your application and your effort for a specific school. I would recommend narrowing your choices down to a few schools s...

A great school that you might consider is Yale SOM, which has a large acceptance rate towards non-profit applicants. Otherwise, you should probably be asking, 'what schools do I want to go to?'. It's good to 'fit' in a school but more importantly you want to love that school. Does that make sense?
