1 equation is: (2/5)x + (3/10)y = (5/16)*8

2nd equation is x+y=8

solving the 2 we can get the answer for x (which in this case is gold) = 1

use Arithmetic Progression formula:

Sum = n/2[a +l] where n = number of integers; a= first number; b=last number in the sequence
