Took a 2 month break. How to get back into studying?
I took a 2.5 month break from studying for the GMAT. I had been studying everyday for about a month in a half and watched my practice exams go from 400s to 500s, but when school started last September I found myself unable to continue studying for the GMAT because I was busy with my first few weeks ...

In my opinion GMAC should have published all such Q in a all new brand OG 12 rather than an OG having only 300 new Q. That way some parity might have come for all, if they all needed to do so. If anyone has that question and they obtained it from ScoreTop, they obtained the question illegally. Scor...

Re: 590 to 720 Gmat practice suggestions...
I took the test today, and received a 590. I am going to retake the exam on October 10, in an effort to raise the score up to around a 710-720 (Stern Average), so I can still make the November 15th deadline for next year. I got a month of prep, and was wondering if any of you guys could give me som...

You'll kill it if you take it again!
Don't feel bad about your quant score at all. 50 is great!
Work on that verbal. It might have been the atmosphere that made you freak out and do poorly on the verbal. But I, like everyone else here, knows you can do better if you take it again.

If you are not retaking you are doing 1 of two things.
1. Beat it.
2. Giving up.
Only you can decide.

I read in The Princeton Review's Cracking the GMAT that it all depends. If you are a non-native English speaking, it is pretty critical. Apparently colleges and universities are the ones who asked for the writing section to be added to the GMAT. This is because non-native English speakers would pay ...

I'm a noob but I'll take a shot in the dark. Answer: B Is xy<6? First thing to note is that this is a yes/no question. So write down yes/no. 1.) x<3 and y<2 INSUFFICIENT: If x is 2 and y is 1 then yes, xy is less than 6. But what if x is -5 and y is -2? Then it would be +10. So it is insufficient da...

Thanks Coach,
Why does 5^13 - 5^12 = 5^12(5-1)?
After putting it into the calculator I know they do, but how do you draw that conclusion?

How to stay focused?
I think one of my biggest problems is I can't just sit down and study. I find myself sitting down with the intention to work for 20 problems straight but I keep getting up and pouring coffee or do something random after 10 minutes or when I come to a difficult question. When I took my first practice...
