kaplan tests are stupid difficult (especially their reading comprehension).. they are not an accurate reflection of your score. most people score anywhere from 50-100+ point lower on kaplan than the actual gmat.. so your doing very well.

Quick way of solving this??

not too hard of a math problem.. but i'd rather do this faster than having to solve it by hand. nothing really major poped out that can be simplified.

Combine the two problems you get
1>=x>=0
meaning x is between 0 and 1 any numbers plugged in that equation between 0 and 1 = 1. test it out.

so if you square root something?? you get and positive and a negative answer??
so (2x+3)^2 = 36 is equal to both
2x+3 = 6 and 2x+3 = -6?? and not just ONLY 2x+3 = 6?
