A score of 740 with a split of 49Q and 42V is really good? What are your motivations to score a 99% ? Only if you can justify this question during your interviews you should go ahead with giving the GMAT again. Well, I am done with all the interviews till now! This is more of additional information...

Congratulations on securing such a fantastic score. You said that you scored a 49 on Verbal on the first attempt -which is 99%ile and then later you say that Verbal was your Achilles heel ? Isn't that an apparent contradiction. Secondly, at a score of 740, I,or for that matter anybody else, will NO...

I think if you read the RC well, 90% is a good accuracy. CR can goto 100%, just do some good OG questions and you will start seeing the pattern as I said. I will again say and have read many places, dont rely on Kaplan or any other non-official tests for your actual standing. There can be a lot of f...

Aayush, if I were you, I will just analyze the kaplan results, learn my mistakes and thats it. I wrote Kaplan free test and got about 620, 1 week before the test but I wrote GMAT Prep and got 720, so I knew the difference. Better focus on real test problems and their solutions than any other materia...

740- (49 Q, 42 verbal)- 97 percentile....is it over yet?
People told me not to obsess over GMAT as a 700 is good enough. Well I scored a 700 (49 Quant, 35 Verbal) (90 percentile) in end of 2009 and applied to all colleges of my choice-- only to be waitlisted and eventually dinged. I thought my goals are not crystal clear (though they were well framed as I...

Well I was confused at the same place, then found this in Yale's graduate writing online tutorial: 3. When an –of phrase follows a percentage, distance, fraction, or amount, the verb agrees with the noun closest to the verb. Ex: Half of the tables are occupied. 21% of the population is poor. 21% o...

The Day the Rain Gods and Cops Conspired!
GMAT Day: Floodwater moved my car about 10 feet as I struggled to regain lost control. Most important day of my life and Atlanta roads were flooded! All the hard work put over last 3 months, literally would "go down the drain" if I was late to my GMAT appointment. Thank God I drive a Toyo...
