Probably you should try using this

2 ^ 2 ^ 17 - 2 ^ 26 = 2 ^ 26 (2 ^ 8 - 1) = 2 ^ 26 x 255

I assume the question asks for the unit digit of (a+2) ^ 2.

if unit digit of a ^ 2 is 9 then unit place a should be 3 or 7

if unit digit of (a+1) ^ 2 is 4 then unit place can only be 8

=> unit digit of (a+2) ^ 2 is 1

Hope this helps.

Drivers license should be OK. You would have received a confirmation e-mail after registering for the test. If you check the information provided in the e-mail, there is a section that describes the forms of IDs accepted at the test center for people from different regions. If you are still not sure...

the final remainder (which leads to the tenths decimal value) when divided by 8 will always have a quotient >= 1 (since 8 < 10). On the other hand for 16 it could be >= 0 (since 16 > 10).

So B is sufficient.

The plastic booklet looks like a normal scratch pad, smaller than a A4. I am not sure where you can get it, but I reckon it may not be a big issue. You will be given one booklet at the begining and you can ask for new ones as and when you require. In fact if you wish to have a fresh one for the quan...

Re: Scored a 710 - Didnt really manage to crack quant

But the overall feeling was relief. 710 (Q44, V42) I prepeared for 3-4 weeks. This looks less but I put in significant effort during that time. I agree. After 4 hours and a rollercoaster ride of easy and difficult questions, your head is just spinning and any score of 700+ equates to relief. 3-4 we...

I personally feel Manhattan SC guide served me better than Kaplan. Probably because of the way the book is organised. It is one of the best to study in parallel with the OG and understand the concepts tested in actual GMAT probably.

Scored a 710 - Didnt really manage to crack quant

When you walk out of the test center you will either feel happy (cracked the GMAT) or feel disappointed (didnt manage to crack it). I came out confused :) But the overall feeling was relief. 710 (Q44, V42) I prepeared for 3-4 weeks. This looks less but I put in significant effort during that time. I...
