I'd go with C:
Simply because of the ratio of their "Earnings" (plural) to those (plural) of men.
Additionally the ratio still has relevance today which means present perfect tense is required i.e. "have (plural) been"

Adeel, First off this seems like a data sufficiency question which means that you dont have to determine a final answer but merely sufficiency. Answer is B. If they were working together they would have completed the project in 12 days. However since A quit in 2 days we have 25/30th of the project that needs to be completed by B alone which will take 25 days. hence (A+B) + B = 2+25 or 27 days.

Thanks for your reply. I have been assigned to Tom Rose; our first session was incredible we went over a few diagnostics and identified some weaknesses that i had in my approach. I will be sure to keep in touch on this post and let you know how things go.
