Please advise preparation strategy for my 4th attempt.
It was my third attempt at the GMAT, and got 500 (V-20, Q-40). First attempt 540 (V-21, Q-43) and second attempt 430 (V-18, Q-35). My story is all about my verbal scores. My first attempt was in December 2006 when i got 540. I had taken Princeton Review course before my first attempt. I was so ruste...

Hi Ron, Thanks for your insightful reply. Your reply definitely explains something what i am looking for i.e. am i really bad in time management? For this 3rd attempt i decided to repeat the OG-10 only, and for obvious reasons because i had already done OG-11 and Review Guides twice. This time aroun...

Am i most stupid and dull or not born for GMAT?
It was my third attempt on the beast -- the GMAT. Got 500 (V-20, Q-40). First attempt 540 (V-21, Q-43) and second attempt 430 (V-18, Q-35). My story is all about my verbal scores. My first attempt was in December 2006 when i got 540. I had taken Princeton Review course before my first attempt. I was...

I agree. I have never heard or see on any school website that says that they average GMAT. I think all schools take your highest GMAT.

Hi Leo, This is Nauman. I and my friend agree with your conclusions about GMATprep. We also did some experiments and reached the same conclusions. But the mystery remains the same: why some people feel that the GMATPrep results are inconsistent with the actual GMAT? This cannot be resolved unless un...

I have got the following reply from Pearson against my complaint of low GMAT:- "The exam is scored first at the testing center. It is then scored again using a different algorithm when it arrives at our corporate hub. The scores are compared. If there is any difference, a hold is put on the res...

Thank you guys for your insightful suggestions. My practice experience also suggests that the question that is beyond your capacity is destined to go wrong no matter you spend 3 mins or 8 mins on it. So self-awareness is very crucial as mentioned by Stuart. Thanks Stacy again. I really learned from ...

Further, as you asked, i started feeling short of time after around 20th questions in both verbal and quantitative. I never left any questions unanswered. So Stacy what I got from your advice is that one should never spend extra time on hard questions or questions that are beyond one’s capacity – ju...

Yeah i had to guess randomly last 3-4 questions in both Verbal and Quant. But that was the case with all my GMATPrep scores. And i never got less than 34 in Verbal GAMTPrep, whereas in my actual i got just 18. Almost same happened with Quant; my lowest score in GMATPrep Quant was 40 with random gues...

Thank you guys.
I have already sent my complaint to the Pearson office. They have escalated it to a higher level for further investigation. Let's see what they come up with.

Thanks for the reply. But this low score of 460 has really jolted my confidence in GMAT especially 2nd time i felt that i prepared well and did well on the exam as compared to my first attempt when i got 540. I'm practicing for the 3rd attempt from LSAT and GRE for RC and CR and here my correction r...

Is GMAT software changing?
I took GMAT 2nd time on December 27, 2007 and got a score of 460 (Q 35, V 18), which is way below my scores in GMATprep. In both the GMATprep test my score was more than 600. This score of 460 is shocking for me because when i took GMAT first time in December 2006 my score was 540 (Q 43, V 21). At t...
