In my opinion, I have found that the OG Quantitative sections have been largely a waste. I can do the questions really quickly and with like 99% accuracy. However, when I take the GMAT Prep tests, I miss 5-8 questions. Most of the questions I saw in the OG, were in no way representative of the pract...

I don't think too many people agree that you can't study your way to a 700. Maybe it's the politically correct thing to say, I don't know. I don't think that's right though. I feel that studying and preparing can help you to get used to the types of questions and format of the test. That certainly w...

I found the MGMAT free test rather hard as well, at least compared to the GMAT Prep 1.

I scored identically on both tests, but it was much more difficult for me to finish the MGMAT one on time.

I have the OG and the two added OG books. I am finding that there are just a ton of questions. It's a lot of material, and I'm not sure it's all necessary. I think really focusing on a smaller number of questions may be better, but as I have never taken the test nor do I plan to take it multiple tim...

I completely disagree. It's the personal opinion of that individual who called his score "a miserable 680" and he is as entitled to freedom to express his opinion - about his own score, mind you - as the OP of this post is to freedom to disagree with him. Welcome to the Internet :) This. ...

I'd guess it's just a preference thing. For example, I can't sleep without ear plugs and I wear them frequently when studying, so I would bet that when I do take the test, I will wear them. Noise is distracting to me. I try to do just about as much math in my head as possible, so as to minimize the ...

What has been said above is correct. What distinguishes this problem from a combination is the distinct objects to distinct individuals part. When I took combinatorics, it helped me to make a chart. For n distinct objects into k boxes with repetition => k^n For n distinct objects into k boxes withou...

Thanks very much guys. I appreciate the responses. It means a lot. I had started prepping and a bunch of people were telling me to wait, and I felt like I was doing something wrong. I really didn't know.

Thanks again.

That's a good point. I feel similarly. If I don't go to business school before I'm 26, I don't see myself doing it either.

Thanks.

Should I take the GMAT now?

I'm almost 21. I will be a senior in college next year. I am a math/econ major at UCLA. I've been prepping a little, I think it'll take me about a month to be fully ready. So, I would take it around August sometime. My question to you guys is whether or not this is a bad idea. Am I too young to take...
