Any tips on how to tackle the "blank page" essay? I am a reapplicant, so treating it as the last year's presentation I think is the right way to go. I just have trouble coming up with the themes of the presentation, since repeating the same themes as last year I guess would make me look l...

The Knewton test aren't scored accurately. With their promotion thing, I took their exam 4 days after scoring a 730 on the real exam and I scored a 620 on their diagnostic.

For me, I knew most of the information in the guide, but I wasn't always sure of how to apply the information, just because it was too much. If y...

Veritas Prep Reading Comp: This guide I think is the best book on RC you can buy. The book teaches you how to read each passage. How to approach RC in an effective and engaged manner. The book teaches you to read the passage so that you can answer all primary purpose questions without having to go b...

I've used both. I can tell you that Veritas RC, CR 1 and CR 2 are better than Manhattan's RC and CR guides and its not even close really. I would suggest that you mix books. The Veritas books I would get are: CR 1, CR 2, RC, advanced word problems, data sufficiency, geometry, and problem solving an...

That's essentially what I did. I got a 680 self studying with the manhattan guides. Took the veritas weekend course and raised my score by 50 points. Let me know if you have any questions about my experience.

I wouldn't do it unless you have an official GMAT score. Many on this board complain about the way Knewton scores their diagnostic CAT, so if you are banking on that 50 point guarantee, take the real gmat first and then take their course.
