I have already applied to Columbia (regular decision) and Duke (round 1, accepted), but regret not applying to Wharton. What is your opinion on round 3 applications to Wharton? Some information on me: I have a unique background (for business school) - Advanced practice nurse, GMAT 690, BS GPA 3.4, M...

Scott, Thanks for the reply. The 640 is actually my third attempt. I scored 600, 610, and 640. I think I could maybe improve another 20 points at the most. I'm concerned that taking the test for a fourth time and scoring probably somewhere in the same range will hurt my chances. Will calculus (assum...

Thank you very much for the advice.
Do you know if adcoms are concerned when they see that an applicant has taken the gmat 4 times. Will this count against me or raise any concerns?
Thanks.

How many time can you take the GMAT?
I have already taken the GMAT 3 times. Scored as follows: GMAT #1 600, quant 36, verbal 36 GMAT #2 610, quant 36, verbal 37 GMAT #3 640, quant 44, verbal 34 I feel I am capable of 660-680 level, probably not 700+. If I take the GMAT 4 times, does that raise a red-flag to the adcom? Will 4 attempts b...

Thanks Lisa, I really appreciate the advice. I should have mentioned my GPA's, undergrad 3.4 and graduate 3.9. Heavily science based curriculums for both undergrad and masters. As far as math courses, I've only taken statistics and received an A-. No calculus, accounting, econ, etc.... I've heard th...

GMAT 600
Hi Stacy, I took my GMAT last week. Scored 600, 36Q, 36V. I was shooting for 640/650 and am pretty disappointed with this score. I'm a nurse anesthetist, 5 years work experience, master's degree, 29 and female. I'm looking to stay within the healthcare sector. Since I will not be competing against f...

Low GMAT
Took GMAT practice test and scored very low (I'm too ashamed to report it). Taking prep class and would like to improve by 200 points or more. I have two degrees, BS and MS (from top national university), with GPA 3.4 and 3.9 respectively, and extensive course work in the sciences. I'm hoping this w...

Older Applicant
Hi Stacy, I am considering a career change but concerned that I am too old for a full time MBA. I'm currently 29 and would like to apply for entry next fall, when I'll be 30. I'm worried that business schools won't be interested in me because I'm too old. Also, I've hear that recruiters aren't inter...

Paxton, Thanks for the reply and the great advice. It's interesting you brought up the medical schools. I've been looking into it (particularly the Public Health departments), and many b-schools will allow you to cross-register for courses in health policy and management. This will really help me po...
