We can interpret it either way and 'hence' we can't use ellipsis in this sentence. But I would think there is no such quandary in the following: The utility of my bike is better than your bike . This is perhaps similar to: Caroline likes rose more than lotus . The above sentence can't be interpreted...

So, we must be able to interpret the above sentence as: The utility of my bike is better than [utility of] your bike . Can...

I would think that this is a perfect case of ellipsis and we can easily interpret the above sentence as: The utility of my bike is better than [the utility of] your bike . Please advice. Thanks in advance

Actually, plural or singular is the least of issues here. I completely fail to understand why 'who' in this case is not modifying 'major law firms'. I understand that 'who' can only modify 'living things' and since that was not the case here, I thought this choice was not correct. But apparently, as...

Re: kaplan SC
"Like a bottle of wine or a handbag" means "for example, a bottle of wine or a handbag", which isn't the same thing as "be it". Stuart, from what I know, 'like' in GMAT is used to express similarity. So, 'like' in this sentence might perhaps not mean 'for example' as y...
